It’s been a while…

And I figured I should come back with some big gesture, if I was going to come back. So here it is… my first attempt at a baby music video. Totally shot and edited on my phone. On the one hand, I hate my phone just a little bit for being permanently attached to my hand. On the other, I realize that I would likely not have any of the video clips/pictures shown in this little nugget – which means I wouldn’t have as much to remember Lena as she gets older. So thank you, Apple… but I’m still going to growl at you from time to time.

Okay… so only read this after you watch the video. The people that saw this video kept remarking how awesome it was that she was bobbing her head to the music… Well, that wasn’t the music that she was hearing. Not even close. Our house has been invaded by the Wiggles. If it wasn’t for the instant smile that crosses Lena’s face the moment she hears the words “Hot Potato, Hot Potato”, I would’ve deleted this crap long ago. There’s nothing like walking through the halls at my office suddenly whistling the melody to “Fruit Salad, yummy yummy… Fruit salad, yummy yummy…” Especially when your co-workers call you on it. And I’m also willing to bet that Lena (when she’s older) is going to appreciate the fact that I changed the music from a song about hot and cold foods to Camille’s “Ta Douleur” – still not exactly an appropriate song for a baby video, but much better for Dad’s sanity.
